Where's the song ~~ "Don't let your daughters grow up to marry a Cowboy" ?

Life is tough! Requires hard physical work, long, long days of pain, dirt, and broken fingernails.
Days of frigid cold & scorching heat; through the dust & mud; daybreak into the darkness of nite~~
the heart & body becomes toughened & weathered replicating leather!
A forever constant factor for a real Cowboy's Wife is tons of sweat, oceans of tears and a constant 'drought' in the wallet!

IF she wants to spend anytime at all with her Cowboy, she must do as he does, you become partners!

Kick off your boots, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and envision yourself in my life!
... It really isn't that bad! There are many rewards to be had to make it a great lifestyle! ...

I'm Hiring Train Wreck!

...WHY?

  • Because I like her!
  • Because she'll still let me be her neighbor knowing I'm a Granny!
  • Because she's wild & crazy! (or maybe that should be Gorgeous & Creative!)Do control that "swelling" I see TW **wink**
  • Or maybe because she really IS a Train Wreck!
  • Because she writes for me without asking!
  • AND... she writes for free!
(and it's definetly more creative than my simple mind can do!
Here's HER version of my "pinkie slice")....

"She almost cut off her pinky when her run away

horse ran under the clothes line!

She reached up to make sure it didn't hit her in the face,

and caught her pinky !

Yikes!"

Could have happened that way.....maybe it did...

Barb, you are a hoot. I am no sure who Train Wreck is but I am intrigued. Your pinky story is funny whoever wrote it.

Have a great weekend.

Hugs, Jeanne

I just love TrainWreck. She is the sweetest thing ever! I'd go with her version of the story when explaining what happened to your pinkie! It's a very exciting story!

Hi Barb!!!!

Gosh I've missed you! I've only just gotten the chance to sit down and catch up on my favorite blogs. My aunt and uncle have been visiting and I've been so busy!

Anyway, I hope your pinkie is feeling better!

Blessings!

Well, I guess one can make an entire pinkie tale, if one wants to, with different twists and turns. LOL.

Have a great weekend, Barb.

Hugs,

Renie

I just read the 'Our Life' section of your blog. It was one of the most touching and heartwarming things I have read in a long time. It reminded me of my grandfather's life story.
Thanks
