Where's the song ~~ "Don't let your daughters grow up to marry a Cowboy" ?

Life is tough! Requires hard physical work, long, long days of pain, dirt, and broken fingernails.
Days of frigid cold & scorching heat; through the dust & mud; daybreak into the darkness of nite~~
the heart & body becomes toughened & weathered replicating leather!
A forever constant factor for a real Cowboy's Wife is tons of sweat, oceans of tears and a constant 'drought' in the wallet!

IF she wants to spend anytime at all with her Cowboy, she must do as he does, you become partners!

Kick off your boots, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and envision yourself in my life!
... It really isn't that bad! There are many rewards to be had to make it a great lifestyle! ...

I've Been Doing Some Heavy Research...

...on WHY humans must eat!

I've devoted my life pushed a few buttons, spent many hours a few minutes
and years in search of a simple answer.

It was to be my thesis of life brightest post!

I persevered through every waking hour tab I opened,
seeking the answer to a question that haunted my palette.

"WHY didn't our Creator provide for our total nourishment needs
through the absorption of the air we breathe?"

This question led to others...

"Did Taco Bell or McDonalds pull some strings?"

"Did Safeway or Albertson's make a special deal?"

"How about Lily Miller or Burpee..what did they promise?"

*
~FYI~
(in case you are not as conscious as I presume you are)
FOOD: Nourishment eaten in solid or liquid form
PREPARATION: the act of preparing something
EATING: (formally, ingestion) is the process of consuming food to provide for nutritional needs, particularly energy requirements and for growth.

FOOD + PREPARATION = EATING!
*
Unless you are a guest somewhere, or have the luxury to dine out, the responsibility of the final chew/swallow/ingest process....
commonly (but not always I admit) falls onto the shoulders of the "Head of Household",
habitually, that being of the female gender.
I being of that gender, took it upon myself to resolve this dilemma.

Whether it is the slapping of two pieces of bread together
with the smearing of PB & J in the middle, or delicious culinary preparations
of Daube de Boeuf Provencal ...

EATING means W-O-R-K!

WORK means NO PLAY!

Who wants that?

Blah..Blah..
Blah.. Blah..
BLAH!

And then...a few days ago, I came a cross a post of a great friend Terri.
Her post blew all my years minutes of research, thoughts, plans and typing
(*with a big huff and a puff*) ~phewff~ out the window!

Upon finding Terri's post that day, the Blog-age-can gobbled up my lengthy,
precise dissertation in one big gulp! ...galumph..choke..Ahhhh!
My enthusiasm which kept my nose buried in books glued to the computer,
eyes scouring blurring with each word and pencils sharpened
fingers worn to stubs....was wasted!
Terri beat me to the answer in her straightforward forward family dilemma post.

Her answer was blatantly simple!

We eat because we are hungry and...
if we don't "we are crabby"!

Life's complicated questions are actually simple to answer.
Listen to your belly...your mind...and our heart!
The answer you seek will appear in no particular order...
It only depends on the question.

We were talking about this at lunch at work. My co-workers concluded food is norishment for the soul, it's love and memories. That's why we're all fat now--we love so much! :)

Yep, that is blatabtly simple! We eat because we are hungry, and if we don't eat we are crabby. LOL. Your deep ponderings are fun to read, Barb.

By the way, I finally got my Follow this Blog up and saw the WoW Factor added her name. And I thought, how very sweet and nice of her. But the the WOW Factor dissapeared from my list of followers, and I dunno why? I am sorry about that, for sure. And hey, where is your Follow this Blog thingie? I wanted to click on it!

Hugs,

Renie

I eat because I'm a greedy cow with a deep and all-encompasing love of chocolate. But that's just me.

Such a funny post! Thank you I need the laugh. And crabby is so true, LULU was being her witchy self all the way home and the entire time we were home... until I put a plate of food on the table. She gobbled it up, ate my dinner, a bowl of jello, a cup of milk, a sip of pepsi, and then stole a little bag oF&m's mm's
;)

So in your very deep and reflective way could you also do a detailed research, for a couple minutes at the very least, (or even just off the top of your head will do too) as to why one eats when really they're not hungry?? LOL

I eat because it is there! But, I get crabby if I don't get to eat what I want (bacon!). I'm crabby now!

Funny post, Barb.

And you said I was the silly one! LOL! I think we are two peas in a pod!

I guess I don't have a problem with eating, it's just what you described... the thinking, the planning, the preparation... the WORK! It all takes all the FUN out of food!

Oh how well I know the crabby part.......I was with two little girls today that just about had meltdowns after the wedding ceremony because they we're STARVING!!! Yes, hunger can produce crabbiness if you do not feed it........So I say eat, eat and eat some more....there is left over pizza in the fridge....oops.....think I'll go feed my hunger.....=)

My weight is a constant issue. It glares over me and haunts me.

I gained a few pounds (not a ton but more than enough, LOL) while on bed rest with my miscarriages and pregnancies.

I'm not huge. In fact, I'm wearing a size twelve (and I am tall). But I don't feel like myself. I how I wish that air was enough.

How I wish!

Blessings!

You are a hoot. Crabby is what I will use now whenever I want to eat and someone looks at me like I should watch what I put on my ever loving behind. I'm CRABBY. Ha! A good one.

Speaking of food and putting such up for the winter, we still haven't filled ours with the elusive elk from the mountains. A friend told us we must be vegetarians....that's it is an old Indian word.

Meaning....bad hunter!

Funny funny post.

I love to eat and i love to cook, but I find that one of the perks of being single is that I can cook what I want whenever I feel like it. If I want popcorn for dinner or no dinner or steak with a tater, it doesn't matter.

And I do know that when I don't eat and I AM crabby!

I actually have a post in my scheduled ones about food and family gatherings...
