Where's the song ~~ "Don't let your daughters grow up to marry a Cowboy" ?

Life is tough! Requires hard physical work, long, long days of pain, dirt, and broken fingernails.
Days of frigid cold & scorching heat; through the dust & mud; daybreak into the darkness of nite~~
the heart & body becomes toughened & weathered replicating leather!
A forever constant factor for a real Cowboy's Wife is tons of sweat, oceans of tears and a constant 'drought' in the wallet!

IF she wants to spend anytime at all with her Cowboy, she must do as he does, you become partners!

Kick off your boots, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and envision yourself in my life!
... It really isn't that bad! There are many rewards to be had to make it a great lifestyle! ...

As I Tumble Out of Bed This Morn...

...I wanted to HOOOWLLL!
(My etching of a wolf family~a passion of mine)
Just thought these wolves were fitting for the day's title!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
What next? My keyboard decided I should type in shorthand,
or some unspoken language but not English!
Had to order a new one...luckily, shipping from Staples
is cheaper than me driving to the closest one
...60 miles away-ONE way!
But of course, it won't be here for a few days.
***
(this paragraph had to be one key at a time...HARD HANDED
& I still went back to insert missing letters & spaces!
***
Even spellcheck couldn't figure out what the heck I was trying to say!
***
Here is how the above paragraph first came to life
~from a keyboard with a mind of it's own:
***
Wat ext?My kyboad deied Ishuld tye shrhand,or smeunpokn lnguage butnoEglis!
Hd toorer a ew oe...ucky, shipinfom Staps is heapr tha me rivig tohe clset one...6 mils aay-NE way! But o cors, it wo' be hre foa fe day.

OOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

The rest of the day? It only got worse!

(tell that tale when I regain control of this keyboard--oops the new one, at which time I will toss this one to the wolves!)

Ain't that the Cowboy Way???

Argh!

Good luck with the keyboard! Your wolves are awesome! Are there any in your area? In the Pyrenees there are some bears but people are not to happy with them as they eat away at the sheep-herds in the summer. Any Fozzies around?

Love the wolves; reminds me of the spring I spent in a cabin west of Rocky Mountain House, a wolf had an elk kill about half a mile away and every morning for a few days I would hear its lonesome song in the crisp clear air. Beautiful!

I see I wasn't the only one having PC issues. Luckily, you could work through yours. My old PC up and died, but I didn't throw it out to the wolves. Had it fixed, yet again, can't seem to let go of this hard-working Dell. I ordered a new one, custom built to suit my needs. It'll be here Monday...yoohoo. Hopefully, my fingers will be up to it. Oh wait....that should have been a "hooowwwllll"...*grins
Thanks for the visits while I was AWAY....

When Josh was deployed, he often had trouble with the keyboards. I always wondered about them... picturing something out of the Flintstones with the bird and the chisel. LOL!

I've been canning like a wild woman, too.

Blessings!

if you didn't have bad luck you would have no luck????

And... I don't see anything wrong with that last paragraph. I mean, it looks just like the way my 7th and 10th graders write.... what's abnormal about it? :)

FANTASTIC composition! I like how they look as if they make a mountain (to howl from or at). Look at those wolves. You MOST CERTAINLY DO HAVE TALENT! Those are rendered quite well! Reminds me of our now departed Siberian Husky..

Is that scratchboard? (Black inked paper that you scratch off with an implement to make the images. Only explained in case it's not called the same thing out west as here.)

As for your keyboard, that's happened to me with a laptop. Barb, you have tenacity w/ a capital T, to Type one leTTer at a Time for this posT.
