Where's the song ~~ "Don't let your daughters grow up to marry a Cowboy" ?

Life is tough! Requires hard physical work, long, long days of pain, dirt, and broken fingernails.
Days of frigid cold & scorching heat; through the dust & mud; daybreak into the darkness of nite~~
the heart & body becomes toughened & weathered replicating leather!
A forever constant factor for a real Cowboy's Wife is tons of sweat, oceans of tears and a constant 'drought' in the wallet!

IF she wants to spend anytime at all with her Cowboy, she must do as he does, you become partners!

Kick off your boots, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and envision yourself in my life!
... It really isn't that bad! There are many rewards to be had to make it a great lifestyle! ...

Tuckered out...

...Thursday!

The washing machine is drained, the dishwasher is crabby,
and the hot water heater is irritable.

The stove is screaming with fatigue,
the floors are annoyed from all of the scuffling,
and the doors are creaking in agony.

The mop is wringing in agony, the toilets are gurgling in misery,
and my computer feels rejected!
(It hasn't even been turned on until now...almost a week!)
~

"How is the Chief Bottle Washer N' Chef", you ask?
"Not worth a darned!" she says.
She's feelin' a wee bit quite distressed herself!
*

Where are the CabaƱa Boys?
*
I need a break!
*
And I need to go Blog visting!

*
The Cabela’s Men have only bagged one deer, 7 went home over the past 2 days.
Yet 4 still remain…for 5 more days!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I think I'm going to run away!

{{hugs}} we will still be here when you come visiting once more.. somehow I am glad they haven't managed to get many deer.

You need to find a city gal who would think that coming to visit you and take care of the cabela men would be some sort of "roughing it vacation". That way you could relax :)

I agree with Cactus jack Splash!! I am having a horrid time with my computer and can not "send" my emails even though I can recieve them. I have a post explaing the odd buffalo on my blog. This is my only way to communicate. I hope you get a nice tropical vacation in the near future.

I hope those Cabela's Boys know just exactly how generous you have been to them. Please tell me they express some appreciation to you!

Sounds like you're having a terrible time! Your sussy is on it's way!

Just think how much trouble you will cause when these guys go home...Telling of all the wonderful food and how nice you were and how you didn't throw out the camo but washed it.

Before you know it, those five days will have passed and your home will once again be all yours! Hang in there!

Hang in there wow. Enjoy the company and madness while it lasts. Before you know it, it'll be winter and you'll be all solitary in the country again!

Here's hoping those boys are helping you with some chores while they take advantage of your hospitality!

Oh you poor thing, now here's what to do Barb...find some candles and light them. Pour an extra large bath - add some lavender and bubbles. Pour one large glass of wine or java. Lock door and sip and soak in tub for one hour :)

Gosh sweetie...you need a spa day...!

Greyhound Girl said...

Holy moly! you need a vacation- come on over and we can hang out and drink peach wine- and eat chicken!

YAWN!!!! You need to switch address signs and point the "Cabela guys" in a different direction!!! I'm just ornery enough to do such a thing! Have done it a couple of times so nobody would bug me. You could hang a note " Have gone insane; be back in an hour". {{HUGS}}to >you!! Go have a bath, and put on some soothing music. Teresa

I'm with oregontribal1 - love the sign 'Gone Insane' might have to try that... just to get some time to yourself, but it will come good in the end.

Aww, poor Barb! I hope they're gone by now and you are enjoying some quiet time, near the fire, with some cowboy music on the victrola. Haha. I mean, on a CD player!

Wish you lived closer Barb, I'd invite you to supper of some Hungarian gulash, and some good Hungarian wine, and you'd forget all your problems!

Take care and take it easy already!

Big Hugs,

Renie

The guys must be having a good time! When you think back on it, you will feel good that you were able to give these guys a welcoming feeling. Try to enjoy it.

Want to come hide out in Maine for a while? I promise you won't have to wait on anyone or cook anything!

Good evening...stopping by to check on you and to say hello! :)

Well I'll be glad when the boys leave ! Then you can get down to more imporatant stuff; like blogging !!

So descriptive "mop wringing in agony and the toilets gurgling in misery."
Me thinks you need a long hot soak, followed by a back rub (from your hubby).

When the Cabela Men leave, hope you do get that vacation. Whew!

I think I'd have to dress as a deer & have them shoot me. That's just too much testosterone (sp?) for one woman to have to handle all by herself! You must have the patience of Job! I'm glad you and your family will be together this year! What a wonderful holiday it will be!

Indeed... where are the cabana boys?

Thank you for your love and support throughout this adoption process.

What would I do without you?

I hope things are settling down some...you sound exhausted. Sit back and put your feet up. Take a little nap. You deserve it.

If you get some cabana boys can you spare one or two for me?! I hope the cabela's men appreciate all that you are doing for them!

I am so sorry for you and for K, you might be the only positive person in his life. I hope he remembers his visit as a good thing.
