Where's the song ~~ "Don't let your daughters grow up to marry a Cowboy" ?

Life is tough! Requires hard physical work, long, long days of pain, dirt, and broken fingernails.
Days of frigid cold & scorching heat; through the dust & mud; daybreak into the darkness of nite~~
the heart & body becomes toughened & weathered replicating leather!
A forever constant factor for a real Cowboy's Wife is tons of sweat, oceans of tears and a constant 'drought' in the wallet!

IF she wants to spend anytime at all with her Cowboy, she must do as he does, you become partners!

Kick off your boots, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and envision yourself in my life!
... It really isn't that bad! There are many rewards to be had to make it a great lifestyle! ...

It Has Been a Whole Year...

...Since I had one of these...

NO! Not this....
You Turkey!

Yes, it has been a year since Thanksgiving,
but this in NOT what I've missed stuffing myself with!

..actually, my favorite part of Thanksgiving is cold turkey sandwiches..
just before bed! ...and again for breakfast!
So you all have a great Thanksgiving,
enjoy stuffing yourselves with all those wonderful goodies..

BUT.....
I'm already stuffed!
And delightfully so!
On a favorite of mine that I haven't had for a whole year!

THIS NOW...

IS TO DIE FOR!

...and I ate the WHOLE thing!!

Actually...

TWO!

Beats a Turkey feast anyday!
(and this is the truth...sort of, it's actually been 13 months!)

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the U.S.

For those who aren't? Have a wonderful Thursday!

Me? Oh... I'll cook the whole shebang as I find humor in watching
everyone make themselves miserably full...and sleepy~
while I nibble on the olives & veggies!
I never said I was normal!

Ohh Yummy. PIZZZZA. LOL. We don't have good pizza here. Unless I make it. I will also will be cooking the entire shebang, and munching on a lot of it. Instead of my normal turkey roll roast, I have to make an entire turkey (kids, company) SIGH.

you missed the super surreal post, i put a little turkey day story in there just for you to loose your coffee sip over. I just so sweet. LOL.

Have a happy and SAFE (that means keep all your fingers intact while cooking) Thanksgiving

My favorite part of the meal is cranberry jelly...I can eat it by the can.

Hi Momma Barb! I am back from the wilds of Virginia, where I went to visit friends (a.k.a. non biological family members). The trip was Josh's birthday gift to me. It was lovely but I didn't have internet access.

I'll probably try and post something later in the day but I wanted to write you a quick note.

Love,
Lacy

We have a wonderful!!! pizza place around here. They love unusual toppings, like black figs, thai chicken, coconut sauce....honestly it is wonderful.

As for the turkey sandwiches, yum. With homemade cranberry sauce, mayo, salt and pepper, and STUFFING! I live for that day all year long.

I see you finally got that pizza...=D I KNOW you ENJOYED it too!! I'm picking up one this evening to take home so I won't have to cook...then I can concentrate on making pies for tomorrow. My mom took charge of the cooking this year and the only thing she will let me bring are the pies...so I'm making three tonight! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy your day....=D

So WOW, are you having the whole family over? I've got you figured out now - you just keep inviting people over to keep that house of yours full of life and love!

I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving. We, of course, had ours last month and it was delicious. I'm with you on the turkey sandwiches. Nice soft bread, mayo, salt and pepper and - my absolute favourite topping - a sprinkle of my mum's special rice stuffing! So yummy!
