Where's the song ~~ "Don't let your daughters grow up to marry a Cowboy" ?

Life is tough! Requires hard physical work, long, long days of pain, dirt, and broken fingernails.
Days of frigid cold & scorching heat; through the dust & mud; daybreak into the darkness of nite~~
the heart & body becomes toughened & weathered replicating leather!
A forever constant factor for a real Cowboy's Wife is tons of sweat, oceans of tears and a constant 'drought' in the wallet!

IF she wants to spend anytime at all with her Cowboy, she must do as he does, you become partners!

Kick off your boots, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and envision yourself in my life!
... It really isn't that bad! There are many rewards to be had to make it a great lifestyle! ...

I've Been Playing Outside...

...and Look What I Found!
She sure is a pretty sight to my eyes!
Poor photography and all!
~
One of these days....I'll figure it out; how to actually take a picture
that closely resembles what my eyes are actually seeing!
(hush now...I DID have my reading glasses on!)
~
I can "smell" Spring in the air!!

Oh goodness! Hard to believe. It felt a little like spring today...we got out the trikes and helmets for the kiddos at school...a little blue sky was peeking out amongst the clouds and I thought hmmm...smells like spring.
But it's only the beginning of January. I think we've got a bit further to go! :(

Oh my!!! Those are beautiful...spring flowers are great no matter how the photography is...if it stays as warm as it's been here lately, we might see something like that too!

WHAT!?? Flowers already?? I see nothing but mud. Mud and oh wait...more MUD! Wheat colored grass, and grey trees greet me each morning, afternoon, and evening. Snow under the trees that the sun cannot find. There are no signs of Spring here? Even the little birds are fluffed up for winter. So that picture may be out of focus, but it is still beautiful!

my oldest boy picked me some wildflowers about three days ago. It was beautiful and sunny. 77 degrees. Now tonight it's supposed to be 28 degrees. I can't stand the warm, cold, warm, cold. I wish the weather would just make up its mind!!

And your picture is like what I see with out my glasses on!! LOL!!

That is a true sign of courage...a fragile flower battling the seasons to spread a little joy.
Thanks

How beautiful! If something as delicate as that little flower can survive, just think of what we're capable of, eh?

I'll send you a box full of heat from here... we're due to hit 105-107, so there's plenty of heat to spare!
I just hope Sam is remembering to use his deodorant. ;-)

With all you've had this year in the way of weather you sure deserve such a beautiful promise of spring - how LOVELY! (The blurriness gave it that "Impressionist" feel - that's what you were going for I'm sure.)

And Andrea, I don't know you (come visit sometime) but I LOVED your line, "My oldest boy picked me some wild flowers three days ago...it was beautiful and sunny..." That was a poem to go with her exquisite flower...ahhhhh. Thanks you to both of you.

That is exactly what I needed this morning - a reminder that this too shall pass! It's -30 here today with the wind chill. That's a temperature not fit for humans nor dogs! Brr!
(On an unrelated note in response to your comment on my blog - no buns in the oven yet. But not from a lack of trying!)

We get a taste of spring and then winter every other week and it's making me crazy! High 50's on Sunday, low teens on Monday! Kansas weather is unpredictable!

I am going to do better with flowers this year! They are a healing balm to the soul!

I love finding those tiny spot of life amongst the mud !!
The glasses thing...yup, I have to take mine off to see up close and by the time I do...oneof the goats will have eaten the flower !!
And, yes, When I am NICE and let them out for a walk, the inevitably eat someting like my palm tree or cactus even though there is ten acres everything else !!
Must carry a bag of doritos with me instead of jumping up and down and hollering....

Ahhh, the signs of spring; renewal, and hope.I'm afraid that we are in for at least 2 more monthe of winter weather here. (sigh) Do you have a macro setting on your camera? Look for an icon of a flower.

Spring...what a lovely thought! We have had two days of Fog! It is really hanging around today, very dreary outside. I do not like driving in the fog....this morning, there were nut-jobs on the road. Everyone wanted to pass and you couldn't see a thing!! Crazy People!

Thank you for sharing your find....=) I will go finish lunch now and think about spring flowers.

Oh, it would be nice to see a flower this time of the year around here...

My post today was all about the cold and how much I missed sun, warmth, and flowers :-)

Isn't it neat when you get a surprise like that Barb! Here there's still snow, fog and cold days even if the sun did shine ever so brightly today :)

All I see is snow around my place...I'm jealous.

P.S. I have a little something something for you over at my blog.

Okay, it's been a week now, and I haven't seen hide nor hair of you. Your coffee's getting stale, ya know. ;-)

Whether your pic is fussy or not, I can't believe you have anything resembling spring popping up out of the ground. There's certainly nothing growing here.....and I can't say as I blame it. LOL
