Where's the song ~~ "Don't let your daughters grow up to marry a Cowboy" ?

Life is tough! Requires hard physical work, long, long days of pain, dirt, and broken fingernails.
Days of frigid cold & scorching heat; through the dust & mud; daybreak into the darkness of nite~~
the heart & body becomes toughened & weathered replicating leather!
A forever constant factor for a real Cowboy's Wife is tons of sweat, oceans of tears and a constant 'drought' in the wallet!

IF she wants to spend anytime at all with her Cowboy, she must do as he does, you become partners!

Kick off your boots, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and envision yourself in my life!
... It really isn't that bad! There are many rewards to be had to make it a great lifestyle! ...

Happy Days...

...are here again!

(I will take them as they come…with pure delight!)

Is it not what I see others doin'?
"Skywatch Friday"
This would fit the profile, right?

...Fooled you!...

This was Thursday's beautiful morning!
It is what I discovered upon waking crumpled on the sofa after falling asleep on my night owl vigil!
A perpetual occurrence, sometimes annoying, where my brain refuses to quit.
In the wee hours, thy body had other plans...
"Oh, just sit for a moment and let your brain shut down".....it winced.
Ok..you get no argument from me.

Hours or minutes passed, I will never know.
But morning came with a boorish jolt, laughing with wickedness as I fiercely tried to unlock the kinks, crammed with grumbles and groans. I rolled like a twisted ball of yarn onto the floor!
Untangling the web that bound my feet, wondering if I had tumbled from a dream I was in,
I found myself squinting through the window panes....

My smile quickly replaced my frown.
Is it not the most magnificent sight?
Bright Brilliant Blue Skies!
See the nests in the Hawthorne tree? (there’s actually 5 )
Rest assured, there are no chirpers sleeping in them. Brrrr!
They were wiser than I and took to the skies awhile ago,
soaring to warmer parts of the world...
…why they didn't invite me, I’ll never know!
(see gel...I wasn't kidding)
(and
No, it is not 'Peyton Place' today Janice….(smiling...)

C'mon...sing along..!
Be Happy....
1...
2...
3...here we go…
*
*
"Sunday, Monday, Happy Days.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days.
Thursday, Friday, Happy Days.
Happy times and Happy nights.
Happy days Are here again! "

"Happy days are here again!
The skies are clear and blue, again.
So, lets sing a song of cheer again
Happy days.. Are.. here.. again!"

Go enjoy your day!
Go on!

Isn't that the most perfect sky? Sunshine can really make us happy, huh? I love the trees - they have some great nests in them it looks like. I hope that the sun continues for you over there!!

I used to love Happy Days, thought all American towns were full of Fonzies etc.... but I was foolish and young then :-)

Love the blues skies and sunshine, it can make the worst of days seem a whole lot better and more productive.

Hope you and Cowboy have a good weekend, you both deserve it.

{{hugs}}

Boy, someone is sure in a good mood, eh? And it's no wonder, waking up to that sight in the morning. Lucky, lucky girl!
But why were you sleeping on the couch?

Hey, you'll never guess what we're getting just before Christmas. A McDonalds... no more than 6 houses away from my house. :-( It's around the corner and out of sight, but I do NOT want it there!!
Can I come live at your house?
Pretty please?

So good to read! Beautiful picture! We just had a very stormy night and lots of rain! Luckily all fences resisted! Just saw that spring onions are already peeping out of the soil. The climate here is generally mild enough to start planting onions, beans and peas in autum.
Are any of your children coming home for X-mas?

It's so funny to see your picture with green hills in the background! All we have here right now is white and brown!

Glad to see the skies have cleared and sunny weather prevails (inside and out)!

Happy Friday WOW!

You and Cowboy have been in my thoughts and prayers also. This economy is really bad. The guys put in two bids and didn't get either one. We discussed going back to PA but jobs there are even worse according to those we know. Besides, this is where we want to be.

I've been offline for over a week due to moving out of Steamboat and to Craig, about 45 miles west. Hey, I'm closer to you!!!

Our roommate decided to take his wife back, and while I'm all for concilations and trying to make things work between a couple, this guy would have been better off without this one. Besides being a welfare bum all her life, she's a vindictive, conniving, lying bitch. Sorry about the strong language, but it's the truth. She tried to cause strife between Dalton and I and that was the final straw. I called Dalton at work and left a message, "If she harasses me one more time today, one of us is going to jail!" Needless to say, I started packing. Enough was enough. We moved out that evening. I wish we never agreed to move out of the RV and just toughed it out for the winter. Now they have no spot for us.

The poor guy who took his wife back is now bawling around about making the wrong decision. Oh well, not my problem anymore. She was so jealous of me doing the books for the company and caused so much strife there, I've handed it over, so even I am out of work. It was not going to be worth the problem of continuing to do the books and putting up with her bull. Besides, I could lose a few pounds. Sure wish we could have gotten an elk to fill our freezer though.

Don't worry too much, we've got some resources saved, just pray that work comes our way. Winters can be long and hard here.

I'm keeping positive, as always, and have lots of faith in the Lord. He always sees me through.

Praise those that are simple of mind, for their world is filled with happiness not stress and everyday worries. Except for an occasional blond moment, I cannot say that is my case, but oh how I wish sometimes it were.

God Bless you and Cowboy!

Those look like squirrel nests to me...unless you have big birds.
I had the biggest crush on Fonzie.
*sigh* He's so cool..snapping and banging the jukebox into action. I would totally wear his jacket.

I was nearly blinded by the sun ONE day this week, so I can totally understand your state of happy mind. Funny, my brain doesn't stop at night either, I write the best blogs in my dreams..just can't remember them when I wake up. You sure you don't have a long lost relative in Minnesota? Seems we are a tad alike..a bit loony..but alike! :)

What a great capture of the Hawthorne tree with bird nests...and wow..I haven't seen any beautiful blue skies like that around here in over a week! ;)

Hope you have a good weekend. PS I posted a new video of me singing a Christmas song! =O

I hope that delightful and chiper attitude is still with you today :)

Oh.. you asked about the mountains. They are on the way from Phoenix to Tucson. Beautiful view, but only while it's fall and winter. In the summer, I would never see them because I'd be in the air-conditioning LOL

Have a beautiful weekend!!!
(((hugs)))

Boy, I missed not checcking blogs for a few days and I missed you singing to us all.....=) Now I am sitting here typing and humming that tune....it will be with me all day. I have had a busy few days, but they were good ones.....so the tune is very fitting. The nests in the photo are very cool.......I wish I had just one little tree that a bird could build one little nest in, let alone five big ones. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Happy Days to you my friend....=)

I will join you in this song! After all, there will always be something trying to get us down, but we don't have to let it, right? I wasted my day yesterday being crabby and unbearable. I have a new attitude today and I'm going to sing Happy Days with you!

Hi Barb-
Azure sky for sure and cool nests! Those birds should send you an invite or was it because they know the couch is "your nest?"
LOVE the ending with the "Happy Days" song. It was one of my favorite shows.
