Where's the song ~~ "Don't let your daughters grow up to marry a Cowboy" ?

Life is tough! Requires hard physical work, long, long days of pain, dirt, and broken fingernails.
Days of frigid cold & scorching heat; through the dust & mud; daybreak into the darkness of nite~~
the heart & body becomes toughened & weathered replicating leather!
A forever constant factor for a real Cowboy's Wife is tons of sweat, oceans of tears and a constant 'drought' in the wallet!

IF she wants to spend anytime at all with her Cowboy, she must do as he does, you become partners!

Kick off your boots, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and envision yourself in my life!
... It really isn't that bad! There are many rewards to be had to make it a great lifestyle! ...

Tongue Twisters...

...and Faerie Tales!

Do you actually care...
~
"How much wood could a woodchuck chuck
if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" ?
~
Some people do!
Universities have actually been studying this
Tongue Twister for an answer, for years!
~
I personally, could care less...
"How much wood could a woodchuck chuck
if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"
*
*
I DO care about Faerie Tales though!
~
And I "Believe" in Faeries!
~
The Tooth Faerie,
Asrai, the Water Faerie;
I believe in Faerie Food
And Tinker Bell!
...and I firmly believe in...
Faerie Tale Endings...Cowboy and I are living one!
~
Fairies are Real!
~
Did you know there are "Wood Faeries" too?
~
No...Woodchuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood,
is NOT the "Wood Faerie" not even close!

Because we are remote, we read our own power meters.
There is no point in trying to cheat as once a year,
the power company sends out a human to verify your honesty.
Last week........the monthly reading I did.
Promptly doing the calculations
I cried out a loud "OUCH!"
~
Having been out of firewood for a month,
we've had to rely on the furnace to ward off
winter's unwillingness to warm our home.
Everyday, Cowboy works outdoors,
whether it's minus 20 or plus 100,
he could care less.
~
But Me? I'm a wooz.
I need warmth!
So I cranked on the heat.
Yet still 'freezing' indoors!
I was missing the intensely penetrating wood heat.
I begged Old Man Winter to lighten his grip!
*
Then....magically~
"Wood Faeries" appeared at dawn, on this Saturday past.
Sprinkling the ground with their miraculous wood dust!
As I awoke to the continuous thuds and tings,
I peered through the blinds in a sleepy awe!
Three little Fairies (actually quite large they were),
tip-toeing and tossing; happily hurling;
they were singing and splitting!
Watching the three Faeries sent tickles to my toes
and I danced away my winter heating woes!

When their work was done they set off for some fun.
Quickly disappearing beyond the hills of wheat,
I ~~~B~L~E~W~~~whispers over their wings...

"Please, return at dusk for a Faerie feast!"

....and they did!!

~
We all ate til our bellies jiggled,
we chatted and told stories galore.
The fiery flames crackled and wiggled,
And sprinkles of sleepy dust drifted softly to the floor...
It was late as we bid each a G'night.
We showed them to their beds,
Shared hugs and gratitude, then dimmed the lights.

When the new morning sun sought out the horizon,
the three "Wood Faeries" were gone.
They left without a sound, not a word, not even a song.

~

Had they truly been here I wondered?

~

~

Slowly stoking the glowing embers, I smiled...

~
I believe in Faeries...don't you?
